ABBERTON ROAD
Provided structural engineering design for a residential refurbishment and extension, including the removal of internal and external walls, steel beam design, and assessment of existing masonry supports. The project also included structural steel connection details, timber support design for a new rooflight, and a proposed 5m sliding door opening within the single-storey extension. In addition, foundation improvement recommendations were developed to address existing settlement concerns and support the proposed alterations.
RECENT PROJECTS
NOTTING COURT
Provided structural engineering design and 3D modelling to aid visualisation of the proposed alterations, transforming the existing layout into a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area. The project involved the design of new steel beams and lintels to facilitate the removal of load-bearing walls and enlargement of the rear opening for bi-fold doors, alongside internal wall modifications and the installation of two rooflights to maximise natural light.
YEWLANDS AVENUE
Provided structural engineering design services to facilitate the construction of a new single-storey rear extension, creating a spacious open-plan living area. The works involved the design and detailing of two structural steel beams and their associated connections to accommodate the removal of the existing rear load-bearing wall. Structural assessments were undertaken to verify the adequacy of the existing supporting masonry walls and ensure the safe transfer of loads through the proposed structural arrangement.
